MOSTLY DIFFERENT VERSIONS OF TAG

1. Tag
I know it’s basic but I kind of still needed to list it. Don’t worry, I am going to list some other versions of tag later. I am pretty sure you know how to play tag but in case here’s how to play! There is one IT (tagger) and multiple runners. (I guess you could have multiple ITs in a big group if you want) Everyone runs away from IT and tries not to get touched (Tagged) If your IT and you touch someone you yell TAG and that person now takes your place as IT and so on and so on. I, JMB, personally don’t like playing tag because to me it just feels like running around and getting tired for not good reason but hey, if you like it play it!
2. Zombie Tag (Infection)
If you have ever played zombie tab you know it is super fun! It is best played with a big group. It is the same as normal tag but if you get tagged you get infected/become a tagger and the person who tagged you stays a tagger. The game goes on until everyone is infected.
3. Banana Tag
More tag! This tag does need a big group but it is totally worth it. In this game everyone is IT, and can tag anyone. If you get tagged you sit down where you are and watch the person that tagged you. You can’t get up (be untagged) until they get tagged themself.
4. Stuck In The Mud
Another version of tag where there is one tagger. If you get tagged you stand with your legs wide and people who are not tagged can crawl through your legs to untag you.
5. Freeze Tag
A lot like stuck in the mud but like its name, when you get tagged you freeze in place and wait till someone other than IT unfreezes you.
6. Hide and Seek
You also probably know what hide and seek is but again but basically there is one person who is IT. IT counts to 30 (or any number you choose) and all of the others go and hide. When the seeker finishes counting the go and look for the hiders. Last one found wins. There is also another version of hide and seek called hide n go seek. It the the same as normal hide and seek but instead of the hiders staying where the are they have to get back to a base. This is usually where the seeker counts. They must get back to the base before the seeker tags them.
7. Soccer
Another thing you probably know how to play is soccer. I myself am not an expert on the rules so i will link a video on how to play. The most I know is that you kick a ball into a goal and you get a point. You can use anything as a goal, trees, cones, or if you have actual goals go ahead.
8. Water Balloons
If you have any water balloons go and have a water balloon fight! It’s super fun especially when it’s hot out. If you don’t have water balloons you can use water guns. You can even make some out of water bottles. If you don’t want to spend the time of making water guns you can always just poke some hole in the top of a plastic water bottle cap. When you squeeze it the water will come out of the top.
9. Dodge Ball
Dodge ball is super fun! All you need are big foam balls and some friend to play. Im also pretty sure you know how to play dodge ball but I linked a video with the basics down below!
10. Outdoor Talent Show With Friends
This is kind of random but it is super fun to have a talent show with friends. This can also be done inside but why not do it outside instead? You can have any amount of friends for this and it is exactly as it sounds… do a talent show with friends. You can show off hidden talents or just plain make it up as you go!
11. BONUS
I know the title said 10 things but this idea came last second. If you are still not satisfied with the 5 different types of tag I gave you, you can always build a fairy house out of sticks! It sounded better in my head but it’s actually super fun and easy. And you can do it if you are alone or with friends! I linked a video of how to DIY a fairy house. The video uses hot glue and some other materials but you could always make a temporary one without glue using sticks, leaves, stems, and tree bark.
